Thank you for sharing your mother’s story so openly. Your line that being a caregiver can be all consuming really lands, and I appreciated the practical reminder to accept help before you are running on empty. One thing I keep learning in my own work on privacy-first safety sensing is that families navigate these hard decisions more smoothly when the older adult gets a say in advance about who sees what information, before a crisis forces the issue. Clear, respectful information sharing really does make for better decisions by everyone involved.
